Day 279 — The Force That Remains

"What remains of higher force is the force that does not depend on collective concentration for its existence." — Julius Evola, Ride the Tiger

The force that remains continues after every collective force of higher order has been dispersed. The residual man continues to embody the permanent force even though the age offers no confirming power and no shared strength. The force itself remains intact. Only the collective structures that once concentrated it have disappeared.

Young men who still sense the possibility of higher force often look for residual concentrations or residual groups that will supply the power from outside. Most of those concentrations have already been reshaped by the horizontal forces that dominate the age. The residual path does not wait for external concentration. It continues to embody the permanent force from the interior center that still holds the vertical measure.

This solitary force is the residual form of the older traditional force that once ordered both the individual and the civilization. The man who keeps the force present already performs the residual act. That act does not require collective concentration to remain real.

Embody the force that remains. Do not wait for the age to restore conditions in which higher power is publicly concentrated. The residual act is to keep the permanent measure effective in every concrete decision. That effectiveness is the continuity of the higher type under residual conditions.
