Day 291 — Clarity of the Permanent Path

"Clarity does not vanish with the disappearance of the collective path. It continues in the man who still sees the permanent line and walks it alone." — Julius Evola, Ride the Tiger

Clarity of the permanent path is the residual capacity to see the vertical line after every collective path of higher order has been erased. The residual man continues to walk according to that clarity even though the age offers no confirming signs. The clarity itself remains intact. Only the collective markers that once made the path visible to many have disappeared.

Young men who still sense a higher direction often look for residual guides or residual traditions that will keep the path clear for them. Most of those guides have already been clouded by the horizontal forces that dominate the age. The residual path does not wait for external clarity. It continues as the permanent vision from the interior center that still holds the vertical measure.

This solitary clarity is the residual form of the older traditional knowledge of the way. The man who continues to see the permanent line already performs the residual act. That act does not require collective confirmation to remain real.

Keep the path clear. Do not wait for the age to restore conditions in which the higher way is publicly marked. The residual act is to keep the permanent clarity decisive in every concrete step. That decisiveness is the continuity of the higher type under residual conditions.
